Biorecro has performed a carbon sequestration prestudy for Swedens largest bioethanol producer, Agroetanol. This exploratory work is a first step towards the first carbon negative bioethanol production plant in Sweden and Europe, producing fuel which removes CO2 from the atmosphere.
Dr. Timur Delahaye lead the technical aspects of the work and says It is very encouraging to see that a facility like Agroetanol, has a broad variety of options when it comes to implementing Bio-Energy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS).
