Project Manager
As a fast growing climate startup, we are always reviewing open applications and screening them for a potential fit within our company.
As a Project Manager in our BECCS business and project development team, this position is focused on internal research & development, supporting current customer-oriented projects, and actively developing new projects. All projects are connected to carbon removal and negative emissions with BECCS, in most cases combining technology, business, finance, and marketing across a variety of stakeholder groups.

We have been working since 2007 towards this goal, focusing on BECCS – Bioenergy with Carbon Capture & Storage. Guided by science, we develop BECCS projects and pave the way for the emerging market of carbon removal.
The Challenge
As a Project Manager you would lead in a broad variety of tasks in multiple existing projects while also working alongside the business development team to develop new opportunities. As a startup working with large-scale, real-world problems, there is no such thing as an “ordinary” workday. Each day will come with its own set of challenges, encounters, and potential. Working to strengthen BECCS as a solution to address climate change, you are using your project management experience to successfully meet project deliverables: everything from writing reports and performing cost-benefit analyses to representing Biorecro at events and customer meetings. We expect you to take an active part in shaping the company’s future and profile, with the overarching goal of leading the market development towards a safe climate.
About You
- You are guided by curiosity, science, and optimism in your professional life, with a passion for environmental and climate topics
- Hold a university degree of at least Master’s level or higher in the field of engineering, science, business, economics, or similar
- You have advanced project management skills, from both a technical and administration standpoint, and an ability to guide project teams in a multi-stakeholder context
- Strong technical and analytical skills
- Fluent in English (written & verbal), fluency in Swedish is a major plus, additional languages are also a plus
- Numbers and statistics are dear friends of yours
- Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Able to travel to customers as needed
