Together with heat and energy-producer Söderenergi, Biorecro has been granted funding from the Swedish Energy Agency. The grant will be used for performing an early-stage feasibility study for BECCS at the Igelsta plant. Swedish combined heat and power plants have great potential when it comes to producing negative emissions via BECCS in the future, but more research is needed. With this project, the two partners Biorecro and Söderenergi contribute to the promising development of negative emissions in Sweden.
