Biorecro partners with Carbon Clean, Sønderborg Varme, Thisted Varmeforsyning, Carbon Connect, and SEC to deploy BECCS in Denmark.
As part of the project, Carbon Clean’s CycloneCC capture technology will be deployed at three selected energy from waste sites, and is expected to capture over 100,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually, contributing to Denmark’s goal of reducing CO₂ emissions by 2.3 million tonnes per year by 2030. Preparations are already underway to define the delivery model, assess permitting requirements, and coordinate technical integration with suppliers across the value chain.
We are proud to be part of Carbon Clean’s bold and forward-thinking commitment to carbon capture and storage, alongside the project partners at Thisted, Sønderborg, Carbon Connect, and SEC.

As a global BECCS project developer, our team at Biorecro is excited to bring our expertise to this critical effort and being part of Denmark’s pioneering efforts to deploy carbon removal and CCS industry-wide, to reach net zero and beyond.
